San Antonio for our First Anniversary

Tyler and I have a special connection to San Antonio and the Alamo. It started almost 8 years ago when he took me on a weekend trip to San Antonio to tell me he loved me for the first time. I remember being on the boat you take down the river and it was a beautiful September day with the warm sun shining on my face, I felt like the luckiest girl in the world knowing the handsome guy next to me was in love with me. Then 7 1/2 years later... when we got married, we had our reception in an Alamo replica. So... for our first wedding anniversary, where better to go, than to San Antonio. This time with a baby in tow, we walked the Riverwalk, ate great mexican food, swam on the rooftop pool, and visited the Alamo. We had a wonderful time and it was a great way to celebrate our love.
He was excited about the big comfy bed.

Ready to go

Let me do that mom

Kase and Daddy

There is no denying these two are father and son. Just look at those eyes!

Kase is really starting to become attached to his daddy. They have a lot of fun together and Kase gets sooooo happy when his dad comes home from work.

Kase is very amused when Tyler is doing things around the house or when daddy reads to him and sings songs. They are my two favorite boys. It's really sweet to see how much they love each other. Tyler is an amazing dad.

Kase helped Daddy lower the mattress on his crib.

He was so excited to get use tools!

First airplane ride and trip to P.A.

Unfortunately, my Grandpa Boppy passed away recently. He was a hero in our eyes and will be greatly missed, but we know he is up with Nana enjoying eachother's company once again.  He did have a chance to have a little time getting to know his great grandson Kase.
Kase wasn't always sure about that old man.

But he warmed up.

So, to say our goodbyes, my family all flew up to Pennsylvania. It was Kase's first plane ride and he did great.

He got passed around from family member to family member to try and keep him occupied.

Chillin in the airport.

This is before he peed all over Aunt Katie. And mommy forgot to pack an extra outfit in our carry on, so we had to buy an oversized little kid t shirt for him to wear with a diaper. Classy, I know!

Kase's First Astros Game

This was the year! The year we finally had a little tot to deck out in Astros gear and take to the game to share our love of baseball with. Tyler and I had dreamt about it for so long. And he loved it! I was a little nervous about there being so many people and it getting too loud, but he didn't fuss once. He looked all around, watched everything, flirted with everyone, and had a smile on his face the whole time. We were so proud. A guy from the Houston Chronicle even took a picture of Tyler with the baby, but it didn't make the paper :(

 So cute.
Trying to figure it all out.

 Big Boy!
Soo happy

He loved the stairs, thought that was the coolest part.

We love the Astros!

Showing Off For the Camera

Kase has started noticing when I pull out my camera and now knows thats when to turn on the charm. Tyler calls it "cheesing it up!" He has the cutest dimples, that we are still not 100% positive where they came from. And has started learning how to make funny faces. Example:

He also is getting messier and messier at meal time. I am definitely in the stage of motherhood where being covered in goo is a constant. If it's not snot, then it's throw up or peas. And Tyler even got covered in poop the other day! The days of waking up, taking a shower and being fresh and clean all day are gone.

SNOT

PEAS

He's also practicing his sitting up. He's getting pretty good, a little too good. I put him in his swing today for a few minutes while I made my breakfast. I look over and this is what I see...

Not good...

Oh, but Teddy's taking care of him.

This is fun mom!

So, I think it might be time to pack up the swing. I only had it on level two, but the way he was sitting made it go so fast, I though he might fly right out. It was like a little amusement park ride for him. He loved it.

Kase is 6 months

Man time flies by! It's already been 6 wonderful months spent with our little sunshine and lots of new things are happening. At his checkup he was in the 23rd percentile for weight, but the 95th percentile for height! He has his middle two bottom teeth, which he has learned very quickly can hurt mommy but make for a great laugh. I started him on solid food and make a lot of it myself. It's really pretty easy. His favorite so far is probably avocado and believe it or not, his least favorite has been banana. What baby doesn't like bananas?! He's really rolling and scooting all over the place. You can put him down in one spot, turn around for two seconds and he will be across the room in no time. I'm definitely a proud momma and you will probably quickly tell that I think the smallest achievements are cause for celebration. But it's my first time being a mom and I want to soak it all in, capture everything on camera and tell the world.
